Firearm and Pawn Transactions

State and/or Federal Laws require the following practices regarding Firearm and Pawn transactions:

ID Required: Valid State Driver's License or ID Card.
Background Check: All firearm transactions require either a NICS background check or use of a valid AZ Concealed Weapons Permit.
Age Requirements: Minimum age for a pawn/buy transaction is 18. Minimum age to purchase a long gun is 18 years of age. Minimum age to purchase a handgun or other firearm is 21 years of age.
Residency: Federal law dictates handguns can only be purchased in the buyer's state of residence. An AZ resident can only buy in AZ. Federal law allows interstate purchase of rifles and shotguns provided the transaction is legal in both Arizona and the buyer's state of residence. These have to be considered on a case-by-case basis. (Except CA — the answer is NO due to CA laws.)
Transfers: Firing Pin Gun & Pawn accepts shipments from out of state sellers. Buy a gun online and have it shipped to Firing Pin for in-state pick-up. A modest transfer fee applies.
Payment Methods: Cash, check, and major credit cards accepted.

Arizona Gun Laws

Arizona has some of the most gun-friendly laws in the nation. However, federal laws still apply:

Constitutional Carry: Arizona is a constitutional carry state. Individuals 21+ who can legally possess a firearm may carry openly or concealed without a permit in most public areas.
No Registration: Arizona does not require registration of firearms.
Assault Weapons: Arizona does not restrict semi-automatic military style rifles.
Magazine Limits: No magazine capacity restrictions in Arizona.
Waiting Periods: No state waiting period for firearm purchases in Arizona.
Self-Defense Laws: Arizona has strong self-defense laws including Stand Your Ground, Castle Doctrine and Justification Defense.

Note: Federal and Arizona laws prohibit firearm sales to certain individuals including those convicted of felonies, domestic violence offenders, those using illegal drugs and persons subject to restraining orders.

Pawn Services Policies

Our pawn services are regulated by Arizona state law and Graham County requirements:

Pawn Term: 90-day loan period with option to extend.
Interest and Fees: Governed by Arizona Statutes.
Identification: Valid identification such as Driver's License or ID Card required for all transactions.
Police Database: All items checked against stolen property database.
Default: Unclaimed items become property of the store after maturity.

Ammunition & Accessories

Age Restriction: Must be 18+ to purchase rifle/shotgun ammo, 21+ for handgun ammo.
All Sales Final: No returns or exchanges on ammunition, magazines, or reloading components.
Variety: We carry a wide selection of calibers and gauges in a variety of loads and types.
